Who’s behind LP Media Group?
Hi, I’m Lindsey Perkins, founder of LP Media Group.
My passion for media and storytelling started in my childhood. I cut out favorite newspaper clippings when I was 7, signed up for my first screen name and email address when I was 11, and began asking journalists about their careers when I was 12. Then, before the broader public had even heard of them, I joined Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. I love media and communicating stories through different forms, and I’m fascinated by the opportunities that digital technology presents us.
In 2011 I realized that many brilliant people – from soloprenuers to established business owners – needed assistance evaluating new online tools and determining the best use for them. I also knew I could help with my marketing-wired brain that understands how to connect with people through the Internet.
Drawing from my 9+ years of journalism and marketing experience, as well as my marketing degree from Southern Methodist University, I started LP Media Group.
Looking back, it’s the best career move I ever made. Integrating into a client’s team and helping them achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding.
On a personal note
Outside of work, a few of my favorite activities are gardening in my plant playground out back and adopting “rescue plants” from the clearance rack. Other things I love: getting on my yoga mat, reading all sorts of books, photojournalism and the wonderful musical creations of Jason Mraz.
